His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York issues a ukase to the clergy and flock of the Diocese of Chicago and Mid-America regarding the repose in the Lord of their Ruling Bishop, Archbishop Peter.

Schedule of funerary services for Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America

Friday, 15 November
Memorial service at the coffin of Archbishop Peter at 6 pm at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Chicago.

Saturday, 16 November
Divine Liturgy and funeral at 8 am.

A memorial trapeza luncheon will follow at the cathedral hall.

The casket will then be transported to Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY.

His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, will officiate at Divine Liturgy at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral on November 16-17, after which he will depart for Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville.

Monday, 18 November
Midnight office followed by Divine Liturgy will take place at Holy Trinity Monastery at 5 am.

A monastic trapeza luncheon and memorial will take place at 12 noon, followed by a pannikhida and burial at the altar of Holy Trinity Cathedral.
