On August 8 and 9, 2026, the Parish of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in Minneapolis, Minnesota, solemnly celebrated its patronal feast day and the 70th anniversary of its founding.

The festive divine services were led by His Grace Bishop Spyridon of Chicago and Mid-America. Concelebrating with His Grace were:

  • Priest Ioann Komisarchuk, Rector of St. Panteleimon Church
  • Archimandrite Ioann (Magramm), Rector of Resurrection of Christ Church and Skete in Fridley, Minnesota
  • Archpriest Gregory Joyce, Diocesan Secretary and Rector of St. Vladimir Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan
  • Archpriest Yaroslav Murgan, Rector of All Saints Russian Orthodox Church in Fargo, North Dakota
  • Protodeacon Basil Gilliland, cleric of St. Panteleimon Church
  • Protodeacon John Cavin, cleric of St. Panteleimon Church
  • Protodeacon Alexander Kichakov, cleric of the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Des Plaines, Illinois

The liturgical celebrations began on the evening of August 8 with the serving of the All-Night Vigil. On the feast day itself, August 9, the festive Divine Liturgy was celebrated, during which the parishioners and guests of the parish partook of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

Following the dismissal of the Liturgy, a cross procession took place around the church with the intoning of “Many Years” for the Hierarchy, the clergy, the parishioners, and all benefactors of the holy church.

After the conclusion of the divine service, the clergy, parishioners, and numerous guests gathered for a festive banquet organized by the sisterhood and the parish community. In the warmth of brotherly fellowship, congratulations were offered, memories of the parish’s 70-year journey were shared, and prayers were made for God’s continued help in its future prosperity.
