Subbotnik (from the Russian word “subbota” meaning Saturday) is a day of volunteer labor, usually on a Saturday. Originally it had the idea of uniting the revolutionary minded masses and promoting the ideas of socialism through labor.
It’s all history now. Times have changed. People are building churches!
Let’s get together to do some clean-up work, possibly some more construction and grill afterwards.
Work activities will take place indoors and outside in the yard.
Please bring your own gloves. You are also encouraged to bring a dish to share!
